Renovation of a mixed-use development in Pine Hill, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and municipal facility.
Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Roof Replacements at Senior Center & Borough Hall Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Borough of Pine Hill in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Borough of Pine Hill in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Borough of Pine Hill in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.(New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. The Borough of Pine Hill reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Borough of Pine Hill, in accordance with applicable law. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the final date fixed for receiving bids. Project Locations: Pine Hill Borough Hall 45 W 7th Ave Pine Hill, NJ 08021 Pine Hill Senior Citizens Center 131 E 12th Ave Pine Hill, NJ 08021 BASE BID - BOROUGH HALL 1. Remove and properly dispose of the existing roofing system completely down to the existing roof deck as indicated in the Contract Documents. This includes complete removal of all roofing membranes, asphalt shingles, rigid insulation, adhesive materials, underlayment materials, and all flashing materials. See roof cores in Contract Documents for existing roofing system construction. 2. Inspect the condition of the existing roof deck in coordination with the Engineer. Replace all deteriorated areas identified by the Engineer prior to installation of the new roofing system. 3. Inspect the condition of existing perimeter wood blocking in coordination with the Engineer. Remove and replace all deteriorated areas of perimeter wood blocking identified by the Engineer prior to installation of the new roofing system. Contractor is advised that should perimeter wood blocking need to be raised or lowered in order to accommodate height of tapered insulation, crickets, or modification to provide roof slope, this shall not be provided separate payment and shall be incorporated into the unit price of various items in the bid proposal. 4. Furnish and install a new asphalt shingle roofing system on the sloped roof areas as detailed in the Contract Documents. This includes but is not limited to the installation of a self-adhering underlayment and ice and water shield as indicated. 5. Furnish and install a new fully adhered EPDM membrane roofing system on the flat roof area complete with mechanically fastened rigid tapered insulation (minimum of 2") and proper sloping of the roof as detailed in the Contract Documents. Contractor to provide proper location and size of roof crickets to allow proper drainage as indicated. 6. Furnish and install new flashing materials in accordance with manufacturer requirements for the roofing system. This includes all roof penetrations, edges, vent pipes, exhaust fans, roof drains, HVAC equipment, etc. 7. Furnish and install equipment rails as indicated in the Contract Documents. 8. Furnish and install walking pads around rooftop units as indicated in the Contract Documents. 9. Furnish and install gutter guards as indicated in the Contract Documents. 10. Remove and replace existing termination bars as indicated in the Contract Documents. 11. Remove and replace existing metal capping as indicated in the Contract Documents. 12. Remove and replace existing perimeter metal drip edge as indicated in the Contract Documents. 13. Remove and replace ridge vents as indicated in the Contract Documents. 14. Remove and replace existing downspouts and gutters as indicated on the Contract Documents. Please note that the Linear Foot (LF) quantity in the bid form does not account for downspouts. Cost of downspouts shall be incorporated into Contractor's LF cost for this item. 15. The Contractor is responsible for cleaning and restoration of the site to the preconstruction conditions. 16. All work not specifically described or listed in the specifications that are incidental to work completion shall be considered as included within scope. 17. All work not specifically listed in a bid form pay item shall be incorporated into the lump sum/unit pay items listed. 18. The Contractor shall be responsible for raising all equipment curbs, vents, exhaust fans, drainage accessories, and all related appurtenances as a result of raising/lowering proposed insulation depths. BASE BID - SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER 1. Remove and properly dispose of the existing roofing system completely down to the existing roof deck as indicated in the Contract Documents. This includes complete removal of all roofing membranes, asphalt shingles, rigid insulation, adhesive materials, underlayment materials, and all flashing materials.
