Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Air Handler Replacement Bids must be on the bid form prepared by remington and vernick engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the borough of pine hill in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or Conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company Stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The borough of pine hill reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the borough of pine hill, in accordance with applicable law. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the final date fixed for receiving bids In general, the scope of work consists of the following: 1. HVAC Scope of Work: a. Demolish three (3) existing air handling units, complete, including associated condensing units, wiring, piping, and all other accessories as indicated on the contract documents and as necessary to fulfil the intent of the contract documents. b. Provide three (3) new air handling units, complete, with associated condensing units, wiring, piping, ductwork and all other system components necessary to provide a complete and functional HVAC system as required by the contract documents and as necessary to fulfil the intent of the contract documents. c. Provide all electrical, structural, plumbing, and general construction work necessary to support the proposed HVAC system. This shall include power for new HVAC equipment, natural gas piping for new equipment, ceiling replacements, construction of new soffits and chases, concrete equipment pads, etc. B. The contractor shall remove and replace existing ceilings as noted on the drawings as a result of the new work. The contractor shall provide all soffits, chases, etc. as noted to conceal new equipment. Existing lights shall be temporarily supported while the existing ceiling is removed, and the existing lights shall be reinstalled in the new ceiling. All other existing ceiling mounted devices shall be similarly temporary supported and installed on new ceilings. Provide all wiring, supports, etc. as necessary to fulfill this requirement. C. The contractor shall be responsible to remove and reinstall all existing electrical conduits that may interfere with the new ductwork installation. D. Post award the Contractor will be required to submit a proposed work schedule that shall be finalized to reflect actual project milestones after contract award. Strict adherence to the agreed upon final work schedule will be required for this project. The schedule shall be generated by the Contractor in a Microsoft Project TM 98 format or equal and shall be updated weekly. Progress reports including the updated schedule (Gantt Chart) will be submitted to the Engineer on a weekly basis. The Contractor will make provisions for this requirement in the proposal. A Pre-Construction meeting will be required prior to start of construction at a site chosen by the Owner. All allowances/costs for the pre-construction meeting must be included in the Contractor's proposal pricing and submitted with the bid. No additional payments will be made by the Owner for the pre-construction meeting. It is strongly recommended that the Contractor visit the site prior to completing the bid form. E. The scope of work as described herein shall not be considered all inclusive. The contractor shall provide all work necessary to fulfill the intent of the contract documents regardless of whether a specific detail or items is included in the contract documents but is obviously necessary to provide a fully functioning code compliant system. F. The contractor shall include all associated costs on the bid form, even if a specific item of work or material is not specifically listed or described in a particular line item. No additional payments will be made for work required by the contract documents.
