Andrew County Commission is requesting a Request for Proposal to remove all woody species from approx. 44.5 acres of CRP ground. The Ford Farm is located West of Savannah on County Road 423 and County Road 426.Proposals must be clearly labeled FORD FARM TREE/BRUSH REMOVAL, include the cost and the matter of how the material will be removed. This could include dozing, chain sawing, brush cutting, grubbing and or mulching or a combination of or any other method. Any stumps, root balls remaining must be within 1 inch of the surface. The removal of the trimmed material could include burning, piling of material from the CRP area for wildlife nesting/cover, grubbing, burying of material, or a combination of the options listed above. This proposal does not include spraying or reseeding. The time frame for completion must be noted in your proposal. Work cannot start before July 16, 2025 and must be completed by October 31,2025. Payment will be made after final approval from USDA/NRCS is received. Consulting with USDA/NRCS may give you alternative options than what is mentioned, and still meet the results needed. Conservation practices which improve wildlife habitat may be considered in this project. Contact with Missouri Department of Conservation may be used to give guidance to you. The Andrew County Commission reserves the right to refuse any or all bids.
