Climate Action Plan Consultation Services Specific questions concerning this RFP shall be submitted via email to Louise O'Neill, Assistant Director of Planning and Economic Development, at loneill@shrewsburyma.gov no later than 12PM on June 18, 2025. The Town reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in the proposals and to reject any and all proposals if it shall be deemed in the best interests of the Town to do so. The Town of Shrewsbury is committed to reducing its negative impact on the environment. In recent years, residents have clearly demonstrated their desire to find environmentally-friendly solutions through the Town's plastic bag ban in 2016, the declaration opposing a natural gas pipeline in 2017, the polystyrene ban in 2018, the Town's designation as one of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Green Communities in 2018, the declaration of a Climate Emergency in 2020, and the designation of funds for the creation of a Climate Action Plan at the Town's 2022 Annual Town Meeting. The purpose of the plan is to prioritize the Town's local government's efforts to better adapt to climate change and to educate, but not compel, residents to take individual eco-friendly actions. The term of the awarded contract shall be three (3) years. The Contractor shall perform all work and furnish all services necessary on an as needed basis to provide the Town with consulting services related to the implementation support of the Town of Shrewsbury's Municipal Climate Action and Resiliency Plan (CARP). As envisioned, the scope of work for this proposal will primarily consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, the following tasks on an as needed basis, as further described below: 1. Climate Action Strategy Implementation & Project Management Support 2. Grant Identification and Response Support 3.
