Reference Number 0000389899 Bid Intent Not Available Purchase Type: Duration: 1 year Option: 4 one-year renewal options The City of Westminster is inviting qualified contractors to submit bids for the removal and disposal of accumulated water treatment residuals and biosolids from the City's water treatment facilities. This IFB outlines the scope of work, requirements, and conditions for bidding. The successful Bidder, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, will enter into a contract with the City for the completion of the work outlined herein. The project includes removal and disposal services for accumulated water treatment residuals from the Semper Water Treatment Facility (Semper) backwash reclaim lagoons and biosolids from digesters at the Big Dry Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility (BDCWWTF). Locations: Semper Water Treatment Facility 8900 Pierce Street Westminster, CO 80021 Big Dry Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility 13150 Huron Street Westminster, CO 80234 Waste accumulates in the City's water and wastewater facilities as a normal part of the treatment process. This waste must be disposed of on a regular basis to ensure that treatment processes remain uninterrupted and to allow staff the opportunity to inspect and repair process equipment. The waste includes mineral buildup in the digester tanks at BDCWWTF and accumulated water treatment sludge at Semper. In 2024, approximately 550,000 gallons of sludge was removed from the Semper lagoons and between 50,000 and 80,000 gallons were removed from BDCWWTF. It is anticipated that there will be a greater amount being removed this year. All questions must be submitted via online no later than the date and time specified in the Schedule of Events. Responses will be posted on online for public viewing. Except for pre-bid meetings or site visits, communication with City personnel outside of the Procurement staff may result in disqualification of the Bidder's submission.
