2561-03140 - RFQ for CMAR Services for DOTH District 1 Facility - 10000258747 The Cook County Department of Capital Planning and Policy is anticipating the construction of a new District 1 Maintenance Facility for the County Department of Transportation and Highway's (DOTH). This approximately 130,000 square feet facility on roughly six (6) acres is to be located at 2222 Hammond Drive, Schaumburg, IL 60196. Design is currently anticipated to begin late 2025. Construction is anticipated to start in 2027 and last approximately 18 months. The CM will be retained during the design phase to provide Pre-Construction Phase Servicessuch as constructability reviews, cost estimating, phase delivery approach support, value engineering reviews and validation of the schedule. The Owner will require bidding services and an early open book Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) at the completion of Contract Documents. It is the Owner's expectation that the CM will be able to deliver services, information, and benchmarking costs, which allow the Owner to make timely decisions in a compressed Project Delivery schedule. The new DOTH transportation support facility, which is anticipated to have multiple buildings, will provide space for office administration and furniture, vehicle and equipment repair services, vehicle fleet and equipment storage, salt storage and associated machinery, fueling and chemical de-icing activities, material(spoils) storage, and adequate parking for employee vehicles, county vehicles, and public vehicles. Based on preliminary assessments, the following is anticipated: o Anticipated approximate square footage of occupiable space and conditioned storage: 110,000 o Anticipated approximate square footage of additional storage (salt dome, covered plow storage, material storage bins): 20,000SF o Site Acreage: approximately six (6)
