Tack coat required. Contractor to roll/taper newly installed blacktop pavement at junctures with public sidewalks to create handicapped accessible ramps. Contractor to roll/taper newly installed blacktop pavement at junctures with catchbasins and uncurbed driveways to create smooth transitions. PG 64-22 bituminous seal required on all abutting pavement and curbs. Incidental to paving work. Prevailing Wages apply. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $975.00 per calendar day. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within fifteen (15) days after the contract is awarded. A certified check or bid bond must accompany each proposal in the amount of 10% made payable to the municipality as a proposal guarantee which, it is understood, will be forfeited in case the contractor fails to comply with the requirements of the proposal.
