Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Skokie, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a service station / car wash facility; and for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

As of July 30, 2025, project was cancelled. The Village intends to secure the services of a qualified electrical contractor to provide the labor and materials necessary to upgrade electric service to accommodate new ChargePoint EV charging stations. The contractor will also be responsible for installing the new ChargePoint equipment which the Village will purchase and provide. The charging stations are being purchased from Carbon Day EV Charging in Wheeling IL. The awarded contractor must be a ChargePoint certified installer and be certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. Proposals must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total proposal price. Security shall be in the form of a bond or certified check drawn on a responsible bank doing business in the United States and shall be made payable to the Village of Skokie. Upon award of contract, Contractor shall, provide performance and payment bonds valued at 100% of the total proposal amount. The Village of Skokie reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this Request for Proposals or any portion thereof, to reject any or all proposals, or to accept an alternate proposal. The Village reserves the right to waive any immaterial defect in any proposal. Unless otherwise specified by the offeror, the Village has ninety (90) days to accept. The Village may seek clarification from an offeror at any time and failure to respond promptly is cause for rejection. The Village may require submission of best and final offers.
