Imperial Irrigation District (IID), an irrigation district established under Division 11 of the California Water Code, Sections 20500 et seq., that provides non-potable water, farm drainage and power services to the lower southeastern portion of California's desert, is requesting proposals from highly qualified Respondents to: Assess existing irrigation gate infrastructure and develop design standards and specifications for metered, SCADA-integrated delivery gates across multiple customer categories. The scope of services includes field assessment of selected gates, design of automated metering systems compatible with IID's SCADA platform, and preparation of a phased implementation plan with associated cost estimates. This effort supports IID's long-term goal of modernizing water delivery systems to improve operational efficiency and promote water conservation throughout the district. IID received financial assistance for this project through a subaward from the U.S. Department of the Interior, through an award from the Bureau of Reclamation for Water Conservation Projects. The Water Conservation Field Services Program (WCFSP) was established by Reclamation in 1996 to proactively encourage water conservation in the operations of recipients of water from Federal water projects and to assist agricultural and urban water districts in preparing and implementing water conservation plans in accordance with the Reclamation Reform Act of 1982.
