Replace rooftop heating and air condition units (RTUs) that have surpassed useful life at the Activity center. F&CP staff recommend replacing these RTUs in 5 fiscal years (phases) and these phases are proposed based on their reliability issues and the overall cost of the project. The following multi-year replacement schedule has been proposed, FY 26- A/E services and replacement of RTU 5,6,7,8 for Gymnasium FY 27- RTU 9, 10, 11 for Community rooms FY 28- RTU 3 for Lobby FY 29- RTU 1,2 and associated VAVs for Office areas FY 30- RTU 4 for Fitness room The Activity Center is a 53,000 sf building constructed in 1998, existing roof top HVAC units (RTUs) are original to the building construction, typical lifespan for well maintained RTUs is 20 years. The existing units are 25 years, see attached facility condition assessment report for the recommendations.In recent years these units require extensive ongoing repairs to keep them operational, repair such as compressor replacements, heat exchanger replacement, etc., some of the replacement parts are harder to find due to their age and equipment down time during repairs are increasing and impacting facility operations. As of June 18, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
