he Design-Builder will establish a collaborative relationship with the City and the Owner's Advisor to deliver quality design and construction on time and within budget. The required services undertaken by the Design-Builder and final technical details will be identified in the future RFQ/RFP and Design-Build Contract. These services are anticipated to include, but are not limited to the following: Excavation support systems and groundwater control Handling and disposing of excavated material Protection of structures and pre-construction inspections Installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring Sewer installation by open-cut methods Electrical, instrumentation, and plumbing Maintenance of sewer flows Rock removal/excavation Process mechanical systems Stormwater management and erosion and sediment control Maintenance of traffic Site restoration and landscaping Commissioning and start-up Comprehensive safety program Quality control program Permitting Managing quality of life issues and noise reduction Question Deadline 06/25/2025 at 12:00 PM ET The City of Richmond, Virginia (the "Owner") is currently planning the design, construction, and permitting of the Canoe Run Park Storage Tank Project (Project). The City is considering implementing the Project via fixed-price design-build (FPDB) pending City Council approval anticipated in July 2025. he City has developed a planning-level construction cost estimate in the range of $100 million to $140 million. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document This project consists of a new storage tank and diversion structure to divert combined sewer flow during wet weather events to ultimately be conveyed to Richmond's Wastewater Treatment Plan The City may choose to hold virtual or in-person meetings with industry participants starting the week of June 30, 2025.
