Question Deadline 06/23/2025 questions via email to: purchasing@glenview.il.us SCOPE OF WORK The Village is soliciting a Contractor for water main work in the Southgate subdivision on Independence Avenue involving the installation and replacement of critical water infrastructure. The scope includes the installation of two (2) 16-inch line stops on an existing ductile iron pipe water main and the removal and replacement of one (1) 16-inch gate valve with a butterfly valve. The valve is located within a 72-inch structure, which is to be reused; however, the cone section of the structure must be removed and subsequently replaced as part of the work. The Village will furnish the primary water main materials required for this project, including fittings (to be coordinated in advance to ensure all parts are on-site at the time of installation), as well as provide a dump location, backfill stone, and restoration of turf and hard surfaces. The contractor will be responsible for supplying and coordinating all parts and fittings associated with the line stops. The selected contractor will be responsible for preparing all work areas for the line stop installations and valve replacement. The contractor must notify J.U.L.I.E. for utility locates at all three work locations once a project date has been confirmed by the Village. All work is to occur within standard parkway widths of 11 to 15 feet.
