The public opening is for information only, and is not to be construed as acceptance or rejection of any bid. Award to successful bidder will be made within sixty (60) days. Contractor is responsible for all measurements, and must personally inspect the site to verify the scope of the work to be bid. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, rulings or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the work or the project. The Owner has determined that the work is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the successful bidder shall pay Cook County, Illinois Prevailing Wages and shall utilize equal opportunity hiring practices. The Contractor is advised that the Illinois Department of Labor revises the prevailing wage rates and the Contractor/subcontractor has an obligation to check the Department's web site for revisions to prevailing wage rates. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website at online. The successful bidder shall, upon acceptance of his bid, be required to procure and pay for a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Bonds shall comply with all laws of the State of Illinois governing public contracts let by governmental units. The Board of Park Commissioners of the Glencoe Park District, Cook County, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to accept the bids deemed to be in the best interests of the Glencoe Park District.
