Sewer Subsystem Z is located in central Beverly and includes area on either side of Cabot Street from Conant St to Balch St. The work for this project, described in the drawings, includes the cleaning, disposal of removed sediment/debris, and post cleaning CCTV inspection of sewer mains and sewer service laterals along approximately 27,450 linear feet of sewer mains in Sewer Subsystem Z. The project will not have a Pre-Bid Conference. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be received in writing by David Gelineau, City of Beverly Purchasing Agent, City Hall 191 Cabot Street Beverly, MA 01915 at least ten days before the date set herein for the opening of bids. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of sixty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The Contract Time shall be 270 Calendar Days commencing ten days following the Effective Date of the Agreement. Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per M.G.L., Chapter 149, and Section 26 to 27 H inclusive. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
