Site work for a water / sewer project in Bedford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project will cover approximately 84 miles of water main and 1,690 total gate valves throughout the Town. Year one of the contract shall cover 845 gates which is half of the Towns gate valves and water mains. The Town shall have the option to renew the contract, at their sole discretion, for an additional two years in one-year increments for the remaining gates. Also includes a fixed amount of 50 gate valve repairs to be expected, with 20 repairs requiring excavation and 30 repairs that will not require excavation. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Question Deadline 06/25/2025 Questions regarding this project shall be submitted in writing and emailed to Mike Sprague, Town Engineer at msprague@bedfordma.gov by the close of business (4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday) at least five (5) working days prior to the stated Bid Opening date.
