Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Putnam, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Town of Putnam is seeking to engage the services of a Consulting Engineering firm to provide engineering services for the preparation of contract plans and documents for the following transportation project: State Project No. 115-TBD Putnam River Trail Extension / East Coast Greenway The project is funded by the Transportation Alternatives (TA) Program administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation, Federal Aid Project No. TBD. The improvements will include construction of approximately 3.2 miles of multi-use trail extending from Putnam's River Trail into the Town of Killingly (Industrial Park). The project is a proposed 10-ft to 12-ft wide multi-use trail and includes conversion of a section of abandoned rail corridor, construction of a new structure over the river, modifications to an existing structure over the river and a connection to Lake Road in Killingly, with a total length of +/- 16,000 linear feet (about 3.2 miles). The Consulting Engineering firm will be evaluated and selected based on design and technical competence, the capacity and capability to perform the work within the time allotted, past record of performance, and knowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal procedures, appropriately weighted in descending order of importance. The design fee will be negotiated on a Lump Sum basis. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) sub consultant goal is seven percent (7%) of the total agreement value. The selected firm must meet all Municipal, State and Federal affirmative action and equal employment opportunity practices.
