Completion Date: Jan. 31, 2027 State Project Number SP2180-111 MnDOT Lake Burgen Safety Rest Area Building and Site Rehabilitation and Reconstruction The project has the following established goals: DBE: 4.5% On-the-Job Goal: 3 trainees / 1,200 hours Workforce Participation Goal: Women 9% and People of Color 12% A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical construction. B. Contractor shall be Co-Permittee on the NDPES Permit required for this Project. C. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. Construction of a new Safety Rest Area Visitor Building. 2. Conversion of the existing historic Safety Rest Area Visitor Building to Cold Storage. 3. Construction of new Picnic Shelter facilities. 4. Restoration of existing Picnic Shelter facilities. 5. Restoration of existing historic Terrace. 6. Construction of new Trash Enclosure facility. 7. New utility service connections. 8. Site improvements including pavements, signage, playground equipment, and landscaping. This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to: Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor (not as a subcontractor) the work for at least three (3) contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since July 1, 2020, for construction of commercial projects that contain commercial civic or educational type construction. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $3,600,000 or greater. OR In lieu of Responding company's projects, Responder may provide up to three (3) qualified projects completed by the Project Manager while employed by others which have achieved Substantial Completion since July 1, 2020, for construction of commercial projects that contain commercial civic or educational type construction. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $3,600,000 or greater. Project Manager and Job Superintendent listed each has thirty-six months of experience in that role with construction of commercial projects that contain commercial civic or educational type construction. Each of these contracts much have had a construction value of $3,600,000 or greater. Roofing Installer Qualifications. This project includes a Membrane Roofing System. Responder must provide a Membrane Roofing System Installation from a currently licensed, approved or authorized Installer. This solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project's specifications and scope of work. It is highly encouraged potential responders review Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements, as well as AIA A201, Article 11 of the project manual in the solicitation before submitting a response.
