Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Sayreville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
This Request for Bids ("RFB") generally consists of the Rehabilitation of the Middlesex County Utilities Authority Dewatering Facility including replacement of the metal roof and wall panels, girts and purlins; installation and removal of temporary personnel facilities and reconstruction of interior facilities and personnel facilities including locker rooms, break room, control room, offices; replacement of process equipment including belt filter presses, sludge and polymer feed polymer pumps, dewatered sludge cake pumps, process piping, polymer preparation systems, access platforms, electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing systems; inspection and certification of overhead hoists; site and utility improvements including natural gas service, underground piping, curb and parking lot improvements; architectural improvements. Attn: Judith McCrone. The project sponsor has identified that the SED utilization goal for this project is: 10 percent. Each Bidder must submit with its Bid, Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond executed by the Principal and Surety Company Attorney in Fact and witnessed to and attested with an appropriate Power of Attorney attached, or a cashier's check, or treasurer's check or certified check or money order made payable to the order of the Treasurer, Middlesex County Utilities Authority and in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price, not to exceed $20,000.00. In addition to the Bid Security, each Bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety written by a Surety Company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Environmental Protection Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) as required by N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17(g) and N.J.A.C. 7:22- 4.17(g), and is licensed to do business in New Jersey and acceptable to the Authority, that in the event of an award of the Contract to the Bidder, said Surety will furnish the required contract bond(s) in the sum of the full amount of the Bid as set forth and as required in the RFB. The contract bond(s) for this RFB include the following and must be from a surety company acceptable to the Authority and satisfying the requirements of the RFB: - Performance and Payment Bond - General Maintenance Bond - Environmental Maintenance Bond The Successful Bidder will be required to present to the Authority the approved contract bonds duly executed and be prepared to execute the Contract within twenty-one (21) days of the date of receipt of the Notice of Contract Award. The Authority reserves the right to waive any minor immaterial informalities or reject any and all Bids in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., as well as any other applicable law.
