The purpose of this Quick Quote is to solicit bids to replace out-of-order mechanical components in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system at Natural Tunnel State Park's Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center. Show a copy of the solicitation document to park staff on duty to gain access to the mechanical room. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove existing HVAC equipment and provide, install and render operational new equipment which meets or exceeds the specifications listed herein. All materials and installation work shall comply with these specifications, and conform to the Virginia OSHA Standard, and the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Codes. Work is to be completed Monday-Friday and coordinated with the Park Representative. A. General Requirements: 1. Product Specification sheets and warranty information shall be submitted with quote for evaluation. Failure to provide product information or Warranty Terms may eliminate the bid from evaluation. 2. The contractor shall remove existing HVAC equipment from the premises and dispose of all components and debris according to all Commonwealth of Virginia Laws and Regulations. No material shall be disposed of on site. 3. The Contractor shall install and render operational one (1) outdoor unit (compressor), and one (1) matching indoor unit (air handler) of tonnage and SEER rating like and in kind to equipment being replaced. i. See Attachment C. Exhibit A - Existing Equipment Images 4. The contractor shall tie into existing electrical, duct and refrigerant line set system components. 5. The contractor shall test and flush the existing refrigerant line set. B. Site Definitions: 1. See Attachment D. Exhibit B - Locations for depiction of the equipment locations. 2. See page 1, Optional Pre-Bid Site Visit for details on site access prior to bid submission. 3. It is the Contractor's responsibility to verify any information, measurements and obtain any clarifications prior to submitting the bid response. A pre-bid site visit is strongly encouraged. DCR is not liable for any errors or misinterpretations made by the Contractor in response to this solicitation. C. Personnel and Personnel Requirements: 1. The Contractor shall provide an English-speaking contracting project manager. 2. The Contractor shall have staff trained for services provided herein and carry all required certifications to execute the services as requested. 3. The Contractor or Contractor's personnel must wear clothing appropriate to the execution of the services herein identifying the trade and or distinguishing separately of Park Staff. D. Use of State Property (applies to all facilities): 1. The Contractor shall use designated park roads for equipment access with reasonable care taken to prevent damage to park facilities during the execution of contract. 2. The Contractor under no circumstances shall perform alterations to roadways, fences, gates, streams, or natural growth without prior written approval of the Commonwealth. 3. The Contractor shall maintain in good repair all buildings, fences, gates and other property belonging to the Commonwealth and used by the Contractor.
