Prince George County is soliciting sealed bids to establish a time and materials contract with one or more qualified firms to furnish electrical services for the Utilities Department at various locations throughout the County of Prince George (herein referred to "County".) Work assigned under the contract shall be on an "as needed" basis and shall be done in accordance with current OSHA guideline. Work under this contract shall be for various Water and Wastewater projects and will be of a nature where electrical work is required to maintain services or provide new services. The County reserves the right to issue separate procurement for large projects exceeding $50,000.00. Bid receipts and openings or the receipt of bids scheduled during a period of suspended business operation will be rescheduled for processing at the same time on the next business day. Bids must meet all specifications, terms and conditions of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bidders need to submit their current W-9 with the Federal Identification number in the bid, as well as the identification number issued to you by the Virginia State Corporation Commission, or a statement as to why such a number is not required. To be considered, your bid must be submitted on a copy of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bidder shall sign all forms in the space provided included in this bid and return all bid documents to: Prince George County Finance Department, Administration Building - Third Floor, 6602 Courts Drive, P.O. Box 68, Prince George, VA 23875 in a sealed envelope. Mark outside of your envelope with Invitation for Bid No. 25-21-0600. Bids, to include addenda or changes to a response, shall not be accepted via Fax machine or by Internet E-mail, orally, or by telephone. The contractor is responsible for all requirements and the successful performance of this contract. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible vendor, his/her product or service, or in any way restrain, or restrict competition. On the contrary, all responsible vendors are encouraged to bid. Quoted prices shall be F.O.B. to Prince George, Virginia unless otherwise noted. Unless otherwise agreed to at the time of the award, payment terms are Net 30 Question Deadline 07/02/2025 at 12:00 PM ET If any prospective offeror has questions about any specifications or other solicitation documents, the prospective offeror should contact Michelle Jackson at mjackson@princegeorgecountyva.gov or Betsy Drewry at bdrewry@princegeorgecountyva.gov, in writing by email. Any revisions to the solicitation will be made only by addendum and issued by the buyer. The County reserves the right to make multiple awards per category as a result of this solicitation. The award(s) will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s) meeting the requirements of the solicitation. The evaluation will be based on net prices. Unit prices, extensions and grand total must be shown. In case of arithmetic errors, the unit price will govern. The County reserves the right to conduct any tests it may deem advisable and to make all evaluations. The County also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the County to be in its best interests. The County reserves the right to contract with firms not party to this contract for similar goods/services if it determines this to be in its best interest. The purchasing agency reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the contractor. In the event the initial contract period is for more than 12 months, the resulting contract may be terminated by either party, without penalty, after the initial 12 months of the contract period upon 60 days written notice to the other party. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation.
