Site work and paving for a civil project in Whiting, Wisconsin. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of July 3, 2025. Project is on hold, no bid date yet. Work includes the removal and replacement of 1,600 LF of sanitary sewer piping infrastructure along Sherman Avenue in the Village of Whiting. The existing sewer piping is a 6-inch asbestos cement force main. The replacement piping will consist of approximately 800 LF of 6-inch PVC force main and 800 LF of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer. Work includes removal of pavement, removal of trees & stumps, protection of other utilities, road base, grading, sanitary sewer piping removal and replacement, manhole installation, manhole coatings, restoration, etc. Site Directions: Sherman Avenue starting at Whiting Ave and heading west 1600 feet. Est. Completion Date: Dec. 31, 2025 Any Contract to be awarded are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Clean Water Fund. This procurement process will be subject to regulations contained in Wisconsin Statutes 281.58, 281.59 and Wisconsin Administrative Code, Chapter NR 162. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), including Women's and Minority-owned businesses, are encouraged to submit Bids for this Project. Bidders must demonstrate positive efforts to utilize DBEs. This procurement will be subject to NR 162.08 (4). Failure to comply could result in disqualification of Bidder and termination of financial assistance or other sanctions identified in NR 162.17 Breach of Contract and NR 162.18 Noncompliance.
