New Parking Lot at Belle Chasse High School - Any person requiring special accommodations shall notify the Plaquemines Parish School Board, 557 F. Edward Hebert Blvd., Belle Chasse, LA 70037 (504-595-6305), of the types of accommodations required not less than seven (7) days before the bid opening. The work of the base bid shall include all the work noted in the complete set of bid documents to provide new parking/paving at Belle Chasse High School included in the contract documents. The work shall include but is not necessarily limited to new concrete parking, driveway and curb pavement, demolition and removal of existing paving and driveway areas, subsurface storm drainage, pavement markings, new and replacement chain link fencing, gates and access hardware, site lighting and site electrical work, rough-in and conduits for data cables and security cameras, miscellaneous rough in, caulking and other items as noted in the complete set of bid documents. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope containing only one bid form. The bid envelope shall be identified on the outside with the name of the project, and the name, address, and Louisiana contractors license number of the Bidder. Bidders may choose to submit their bid electronically at online. The Plaquemines Parish School Board requires the Bidders to attach a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, issued in favor of the Plaquemines Parish School Board, equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all Alternates as evidence of good faith of the Bidder. If a bid bond is used, it shall be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to ten percent of policyholders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide or by an insurance company in good standing licensed to write bid bonds which is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish the Owner with a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount prior to the issuance of a contract to perform the work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for cause. In accordance with La.
