The City of Decatur will receive sealed bids for the removal and replacement of fence along Lost Bridge Rd., Decatur, IL. The following Minority Participation Goals for Public Works Con-tracts are in effect for this contract: (1)Ten (10) percent of the total dollar amount of the contract should be performed by Minority Business Enterprises if subcon-tracting opportunities are available and/or ten (10) percent of the total dollar amount of the contract should be for the purchase of goods, materials, and equipment to be used for the public works project from Minority Business Enterprises with the ten (10) per-cent goal being met separately or in combination. (2) Eighteen percent (18%) of the total hours worked should be performed by minority workers. All Contractors shall provide evidence of meeting the City's mi-nority participation goals prior to the award of this project and prior to all payments made for work completed or provide the City of Decatur documentation on their good faith effort to comply with the participation goals. At the discretion of the Council, required items may be submitted after the bid opening if there is sufficient compliance with instruc-tions at the time of the bid opening to permit the City to deter-mine the price bid.
