Achieve Final Completion of the Work of this Contract as certified by the Engineer by October 1st, 2025; Documents are available at https://purchasing.brandon.ca/ The scope of work includes the provision of the full and complete design, all materials and the performance of all work necessary to construct the Work. The project specific requirements shall include the following: 3.1 Space Improvements/Demolition a) Expansion of space (Up to a maximum of 600mm (24")) to accommodate a minimum of 900mm (36") walking path around all fixtures/appliances, with a desired walking path width of 1.2m (48") b) Expansion of space eastwards by approximately 2.4m x 3m (8'-0" x 10-0") to accommodate work table and shelving. Area to be totally enclosed, C/W lockable access door c) Removal of all remaining materials to facilitate new layout d) Removal of all existing wall, ceiling, and floor finishes as required to suit new design 3.2 Building Structure & Floor Plan a) Floor plan denoting kitchen layout b) Plans of any modifications to the existing structure 3.3 Roof Design a) Location of roof vents for Kitchen exhaust/HVAC improvements as required 3.4 Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) a) Redesign existing HVAC system as required to accommodate new kitchen design 3.5 Plumbing a) Plumbing plans showing size and location of all pipes, traps. Cleanouts, and fixtures; b) 3 compartment sink; c) Separate handwashing sink; d) Grease interceptor; e) Plumbing repairs as required to support kitchen redesign ; f) Removal and relocation of water fountain 3.6 Electrical a) Electrical upgrades as required to reflect kitchen redesign; b) Contractor is responsible for obtaining a Certificate of Approval from Manitoba Hydro. 3.7 Utilities a) The Contractor shall arrange, coordinate and pay for all work associated with Manitoba Hydro for electrical services to the building; b) Sewer and Water services are not required. 3.8 Interior Finishes a) Floors and floor coverings in all areas to be smooth, durable and impervious materials without seams, or where seams are present, they must be heat sealed or chemically bonded; b) Floor coverings in all areas to be coved, covering floor/wall junctions to a height not less than 100mm (4"); c) Walls in all areas to be covered in a smooth and non-absorbent finish, and shall be easily cleanable; d) Ceilings in all areas shall be of a smooth and non-absorbent finish, and easy to clean e) Supply and install all stainless-steel workstations, shelving and required cabinetry including countertops; f) Area for the storage of personal belongings (coat rack with shelving); g) All finishing materials should be of commercial grade quality; h) All finishes to be approved finishes for that area as outlined in the MB Public Health Commercial Kitchen Guidelines; i) All finishes and colors to be coordinated with and approved by the City. 3.9 Doors and Windows a) One 36"x80" access door to kitchen area, C/W Viewing window and locking hardware. Four (4) sets of keys to be provided to the City; b) One 36"x80" access door to mechanical area C/W passage lockset; c) Plexi glass barrier to separate half wall/make area from Patrons.
