As of August 13, 2025 project was awarded to S.H. Creel in the amount of $279,550.70 The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: o The extent of the project along Harris Drive begins at the intersection of Main Street and runs south 680 feet to the end of Harris Drive. o Proposed work will include 5 ft of sidewalk connecting with Main Street along the west side of Harris Drive. o Pavement width of Harris Drive will be increased to 22 ft up to the intersection of the Veterans Park entrance. o Relocation of the existing 6-inch water line, and includes a new fire hydrant assembly on Harris Drive. This is located at the rear of 480 Main Street. o Stormwater infostructure will be replaced at 123 Harris Drive. o Approximately 12 Cherry Blossom Trees will be planted on the west of Harris Drive, along the sidewalk, into the park site. o Milling and paving of remaining road surface. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 60-90 days from the date of notice to proceed. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise. Question Deadline 07/02/2025 All requests for such interpretation shall be in writing emailed to cmcgrady@hiram-ga.gov, or addressed to Clifford McGrady, Zoning Administrator, 217 Main Street, Hiram, Georgia 30141, and to be given consideration, must be received at least nine (9) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
