Renovation of a museum in Longport, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

1. The Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of the existing roofing system, complete, down to the existing wood roof deck as indicated on the Contract Documents. This includes complete removal of all roofing membranes and all flashing materials. Please note the existing balcony roofing system includes no rigid insulation. 2. The Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of the existing plywood roof deck on the entire balcony area. 3. The Contractor shall inspect the condition of the existing wood roof joists for the entire balcony area in coordination with the Engineer. The Contractor shall remove and replace all deteriorated wood joists identified by the Engineer prior to installation of the new roofing system, if and where directed. 4. The Contractor shall remove and replace the existing girder along the east side/front of the balcony as indicated on the Contract Documents. This includes the temporary shoring/support of the existing roof joists until the new wood girder has been properly installed. In general, the work on this project consists of structural repairs to the front entrance balcony at the Longport Historical Society Museum located in Atlantic County, New Jersey. Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Re-advertisement Public Notice is Hereby Given That Sealed Bids Will Be Received by the Longport Public Library for the Longport Historical Society Museum Structural Repair of Balcony in the Borough of Longport, Atlantic County, New Jersey The Contractor is Further Notified That He Must Comply With N.j.s.a. 52:25-24.2 and Submit a Disclosure Statement Listing Stockholders With His Bid. The Contractor is Further Notified That He Must Comply With N.j.s.a. 34:11-56.48 Et Seq. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Duly Executed by the Bidder as Principal and Having as Surety Thereon a Surety Company Approved by the Longport Public Library in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00 of the Amount Bid. Any Such Bid Bond Shall Be Without Endorsement or Conditions. Bid Shall Also Be Accompanied by a Certificate Letter From a Surety Company Stating That It Will Provide the Bidder With the Completion Bond. The Award of the Contract Shall Be Made Subject to the Necessary Moneys to Do the Work Being Provided by the Longport Public Library in a Lawful Manner. The Contract to Be Executed by the Successful Bidder Will Provide That It Shall Not Become Effective Until the Necessary Moneys to Do the Work Have Been Provided by the Longport Public Library in a Lawful Manner. The Award Shall Further Be Subjected to the Securing of Necessary State, Federal or Local Permits Governing the Work. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
