The base of the existing plenum caps are rusted out and need to be replaced to preserve the integrity of the roof fan exhaust. The following work will be performed 1. Isolate electrical to existing roof fans. 2. Remove existing rusted plenum caps on the two rooftop exhaust fans on the Headhouse. 3. Install new plenum caps on the fans to match the existing dimensions of the old plenum caps. Estimated size is 13" however an exact replacement size is to be confirmed before ordering and installation. Contractor shall field verify measurements of the required plenum caps after removal and before ordering to insure a proper fit. 4. All rust on associated metal mounts is to be removed and painted to match existing. 5. Electrify and test fans. 6. Dispose of old plenum caps. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service in Houma, LA requires replacement of existing fan exhaust plenum caps. In accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 5 and 12, this Request for Quote (RFQ), number 1232SA25Q0222, is available through electronic commerce via the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. This RFQ is being issued under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561210 - Facilities Support Services. The applicable small business size standard is $47M. The resulting purchase order will be a firm-fixed price type with installation no later than thirty (30) calendar days after the date of the contract award. All deliveries shall be made FOB Destination to the location specified in the contract.
