Renovation of a fire / police facility in Sparta, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Roof Replacement - Polk Street Fire Station No bid may be withdrawn for thirty (30) days from the date of the opening. Purchase orders will be issued only after approved by the Sparta Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The City of Sparta reserves the right to reject any, or all proposals, to waive any irregularities in a proposal, to make awards to more than one vendor, to accept any part or all of a bid, or to accept the bid, (or bids) which in the judgment of the Board of Mayor and Alderman of the City of Sparta is in the best interest of the City. The City of Sparta does not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin in federal or state sponsored programs, pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C 2000d) Work to be performed includes removing existing shingles and replace with 3 Tab architectural shingles or metal. If any roof damage is found after removing shingles the damage is to be repaired before new shingles are installed. Price per sq. ft. to replace any damaged decking must be stated in the bid. Vendor shall remove excess and waste materials from the site. Such materials shall be disposed ofin accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. At the end ofthe projects, each ofthe areas is to be cleaned and "swept" with a magnet to remove nails on the grounds.
