Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Elgin, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The proposed Work is generally described follows: This project in general (approximately 3,775 linear feet in length) includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and other as included items necessary for the completion of the following: o Installation of approximately 4,100' of 10" to 60" storm sewer; o Installation of approximately 550' of 6" to 18" sanitary sewer; o Installation of approximately 3,500' of 4" to 8" water main; o Approximately 2,700' of 8" to 15" sanitary sewer lining; o Approximately 7,265 SY of pavement removal; o Approximately 5,685 SY of pavement patching; o Approximately 1,580 SY of pavement reconstruction; o Approximately 9,750 SY pavement surface milling; o Approximately 2,375' of curb and gutter removal and replacement; o Approximately 8,950 sq. ft. of sidewalk removal and replacement; o Removal and/or abandonment of existing water and sewer mains; o Water and sewer main adjustments; o Water and sanitary service-re-establishment; o Parkway restoration and other miscellaneous items of work in accordance with the Contract Plans and Specifications. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified or cashier s or a bank draft in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid, payable without condition to the City of Elgin, Illinois, which sum shall be forfeited in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a binding contract and provide a properly executed contract surety bond within 15 days after the contract is awarded by the City Council. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. The successful bidder and all Subcontractors shall be required to conform to the labor standards set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder shall pay prevailing wage and shall provide certified payrolls to the City for the duration of the Project. The successful bidder shall submit a list of qualified references for projects similar size and scope of the project. Proposal withdrawn may not be resubmitted at the same letting. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive technicalities and any informality in any bid. This is an Illinois Prevailing Wage Project Question Deadline 07/14/2025 at 12:00 PM CT
