A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Hughes Springs, Texas, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER OR BIDDERS will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond, in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and satisfactory to the Owner as required by Article 5160 V.A.T.C.S. BIDDERS ARE EXPECTED TO INSPECT the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local conditions. Time of completion shall be ninety (90) calendar days, including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
