Renovation of a fire / police facility in Albion, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Reference Number 0000391131 The Project consists of structural repairs associated with the existing PSB roof structure including the removal of existing walls and ceilings within the reinforcement work zone along with the temporary disconnections and reconnections of existing HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems. The selected DA office space, main public entrance, public hallway and janitorial spaces shall be restored to the original layout and finishes. Remaining spaces are not to be restored except for the reconnection of existing HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems and reinstallation and installation of ceilings systems as shown. Bidders shall be properly licensed under the laws of New York governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and Performance and Payment Bonds as specified and required for the work. Bids must contain the bid form completed in its entirety and any other items specified in the contract documents. A bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount on AIA Document A310-2010 - Bid Bond. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. All pre-bid questions and/or product substitutions must be submitted on form included in the specification manual and in PDF format by e-mail to kaltamura@wendelcompanies.com by 10:00am Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 to be answered/considered. The successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of a written Notice to Proceed (NTP) and shall achieve Substantial Completion within five (5) months from the NTP and Final Completion within six (6) months from the NTP. *The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, reject any or all Bids without explanation, or solicit for new bids, if in its sole opinion the best interest of the Owner will be promoted. The Owner is not responsible for any expenses incurred in the preparation of bids. The Payment Bond and the Performance Bond shall be in a sum equal to the contract price. If the Performance Bond provides for a one-year warranty a separate Warranty Bond is not necessary. If the warranty period specified in the contract is for longer than one year a Warranty Bond equal to 100% of the contract price is required. Bonds shall be duly executed by a responsible corporate surety, authorized to issue such bonds in the State where the physical Project is located.
