CR Number: 2126481. Preventive Bridge Maintenance to various bridges in Orleans County. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No. Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 0% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5%. The work to be performed consists principally of the furnishing of all labor and materials for: Concrete repairs, wingwall reconstruction, guiderail replacement, drainage improvements and roadway reconstruction. Construction will be on the existing alignments with an off-site detour for each location to maintain traffic during construction. The forgoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under the Contract. The project duration is 150 days. All bridge sites shall be substantially complete and open to traffic no later than December 1, 2026. Once work begins on the project, the contractor shall work continuously until all work is complete at all sites. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds and provide insurance in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Statement in order to be considered. Orleans County is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal for this project is 5%. The Equal Employment Opportunity goal for Minority Participation is 5.3% and the Women Participation goal is 6.9%. The Proposed DBE Commitment Form must also be included with the bid. Orleans County is exempt under Section 1116 of the New York State Tax Law, and therefore, no sales tax shall be included in the bid. Doc note: Contract Documents will be e-mailed to prospective bidders. Contract Documents will not be emailed until the aforementioned $25.00 payment is received by the County. Only those who have purchased Contract Documents directly from Orleans County will be provided addenda and will be allowed to submit a bid. Orleans County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept any Bid or individual item or items which may be deemed most favourable to its best interests.
