Renovation of a detention facility in Albion, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Sealed bids are invited for three separate contracts: Construction Work, HVAC Work, and Electrical Work to provide a facility-wide CCTV/Audio Monitoring System, Civilian Personal Alarm System, and PA System at Orleans Correctional Facility, Albion, NY. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must include a bid security of $23,000 for Construction, $22,000 for HVAC, and $623,500 for Electrical work. Successful bidders will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond each for 100% of the contract amount, with estimated contract values ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 for Construction and HVAC, and from $20,000,000 to $30,000,000 for Electrical work. All bidders must comply with State Finance Law communication restrictions during the procurement process and affirm understanding and compliance with said laws on the bid form. Participation goals are set at 30% MWBE (15% MBE and 15% WBE) for Construction and Electrical, and 20% MWBE (10% MBE and 10% WBE) for HVAC. There is also a 3% SDVOB goal for each trade. The Office of General Services reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidding and Contract Documents are available via OGS Design & Construction’s Electronic Bidding service. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend a site visit and must schedule at least 72 hours in advance. Only those who schedule in advance will be permitted to participate in the pre-bid site visit.
