Demolition, site work and paving for a civil project in Albion, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work to be performed consists principally of the furnishing of all labor and materials for removal of the existing concrete culvert, and replacement with a 4-sided single span precast concrete box unit structure supported on a gravel foundation, and associated highway approach work and stream work. The project also includes the relocation of approximately 60LF of water main. Coordination with the water departments for the Town of Gaines and Albion will be necessary. Construction will be on the existing alignment with a signed off-site detour to maintain traffic during construction. The foregoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under the Contract. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the instructions to bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds and provide insurance in accordance with the instructions to bidders. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Statement in order to be considered. Only those who have purchased Contract Documents directly from Orleans County will be provided addenda and will be allowed to submit a bid. Bid envelope must have project name, bid date and bid time on envelope.
