Site work, paving and renovation of a religious / funeral development in Marion, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development; for site work for a religious / funeral development; and for paving for a religious / funeral development.
Project Cost Estimates: Base Bid: $ 420,000. Combined Alternates: Cost varies per acceptance. A single prime contract bid shall be received for all General, Electrical and site contract work. The work will include: In general, the scope of work includes: 1. Site work to replace concrete pavement and to remove and reset natural stone walks on new and/or repaired foundation curbs. 2. Interior & exterior building stone replacement including flat and simple profile units, as well as carved and decorative units. 3. Interior & exterior building stone repairs including field retooling, patching with specified mortar, shaping and profiling/carving. 4. Application of stone cleaning, consolidation and repellent materials. 5. Slate roofing repairs, replacement and associated substrate repairs and flashings work. 6. Box gutter lining with membrane roofing and associated substrate repairs and flashings work. 7. Storm window replacements. 8. Sealants replacements and new work. 9. Wood door restorations, stripping, wood and hardware repairs, staining and finishing. 10. Preparation and painting with industrial finishes and masonry coatings. Proposals shall be in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by Mark Lecky Architects, LLC, Columbus, Ohio 43206. Bidding documents are on file at the Commissioners' Office for review by any bidder and may be obtained from the Marion County Website at www.co.marion.oh.us (click "Public Notices"). A pre-bid meeting will be held at 1 P.M. on June 26, 2025 starting in the Commissioners Office, 222 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302. Any prospective bidders should confirm this time, date and location with the Commissioners' Office before the scheduled meeting time. Additional inspection times and dates may be scheduled with the Commissioners' Office. Each proposal shall be submitted on the form(s) provided and in accordance with the instructions supplied and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the total amount of the base bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or acceptable letter of credit on a solvent bank in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid, payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Marion County, Ohio. If a bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract within ten (days) following notice of acceptance of this proposal, the bidder shall pay the penal sum in accordance with RC 153.54. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date of the receipt of bids. All proposals shall be marked Bid for MARION COUNTY SOLDIERS & SAILORS MEMORIAL CHAPEL RESTORATION. Proposals shall contain the full name and address of each person and company interested in the work. The Bid Guaranty shall be returned to all unsuccessful bidders immediately after the Contract is executed. The Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit shall be returned to the successful bidder only upon execution of the Contract Bond. The Board of County Commissioners of Marion County, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bids, and to award the contract to the lowest and best bidder as determined by the Board of County Commissioners of Marion County, Ohio. In general, the scope of work provides for the historic restoration of the Chapel building and grounds: 1. Site work to replace concrete pavement and to remove and reset natural stone walks on new and/or repaired foundation curbs. 2. Interior & exterior building stone replacement including flat and simple profile units, as well as carved and decorative units. 3. Interior & exterior building stone repairs including field retooling, patching with specified mortar, shaping and profiling/carving. 4.
