Pre-Qualification: Yes The project includes painting, caulking, removal and replacement of ceiling grid and tiles, removal and replacement of lighting fixtures, HVAC updates, generator updates, sprinkler system testing and repairs and any other incidental items necessary to complete said work as shown on the plans. Coordinate all work with the House Captain, as the Fire Station will remain fully staffed and functional during construction. Shift change occurs daily at 07:15. Regular work hours for construction: M-F 07:15 - 17:00. Any work performed outside the designated regular work hours must be approved by staff. Construction progress meetings required every two weeks. Any needed movement and replacement of existing station appliances, furnishings, wall mounts or decor, etc. during construction. Power and lighting should be maintained in the station for daily functions. Drop cloths or coverings should be used to protect finished surfaces and furnishings during construction. Any damage to finished surfaces or furnishings caused by contractors during the construction process will be repaired by or replaced at the cost of the contractor. Storage of dumpsters and construction equipment is to be coordinated with the House Captain. Provide cleaning during and at the end of construction. The station will remain in use during construction. Any necessary permitting or required documentation. The project will be bid with a 15% budget contingency. All products identified are the basis of design and substitutions may be allowed if request is submitted prior to bid and approved.
