Renovation of a municipal facility in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Closing Time: 2:30 PM (NT) ** Please note that there has been 3 addendum issued for this project. ** Question Acceptance Deadline Jul 22, 2025 02:30 PM NDT Work of this Contract comprises of repairs to and addition of fire dampers and additional fire damper access hardware at the Joseph R. Smallwood Building, Corner Brook, NL, as further described below. .2 Fire damper repairs including making fusible links removable and reinstating rated assemblies around existing dampers in identified locations. .3 Install new fire dampers and accessories in locations where none currently exist, but are required by code. .4 Install new access doors to enable access for inspection and testing of existing dampers that are not currently readily accessible. .5 Provide signage for existing fire dampers that are not required by code. .6 Remove or replace lighting to enable access to dampers. .7 Extend the central ductwork vertical service shaft to the penthouse roof and provide new fire dampers at duct penetrations in the shaft. .8 Revise sprinkler piping in Mechanical Room where existing ceiling will be removed. .9 Provide cutting and patching as required for access to complete work. .10 Provide installation/static and functional testing commissioning services, and operator training as indicated in the specifications. .11 Provide project closeout documentation including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and equipment data forms as indicated. A bid bond in a commercially reasonable form or an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank in the amount of at least 10% of the Bid Price and that shall be in effect until forty-five (45) calendar days following Closing Date. A surety's consent indicating that, in accordance with section 5.18.1. of this ITT, the surety company will furnish the contract security which shall include a 50% performance bond and a 50% labour and materials payment bond of the Bid Price or a consent from the Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank that an irrevocable standby letter of credit in the amount of 50% of the Bid Price will be furnished. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, BGIS, in its sole and absolute discretion: 1. reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the Bids Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
