Site work for a civil project in Crossnore, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Town of Cross nore is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms for professional engineering services to replace an existing twin culvert that carries Crossnore Creek under Dellinger Road. Crossnore Creek is currently carried under Dellinger Road by two elliptical concrete pipes each with a 6ft span and 3.7 ftrise. These culverts are unable to accommodate storm water during heavy rain events, which causes inundation and erosion issues. The intent of the project is to replace the culverts with an alternative that better accommodates storm water, mitigates against inundation upstream, and does not worsen downstream impacts. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
