Sealed Bids will be received by the Iberia Parish Government, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, for the construction of street improvements that includes Drainage, Asphalt Concrete Pavement Patching, Milling Asphalt Pavement, Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Aggregate Surface Course, Pavement Markings and other work in connection therewith. Bids will be on a unit price basis; segregated Bids will not be accepted. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Highway, Street and Bridge Construction. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Bidding Documents shall not be issued later than 24 hours prior to the hour and date set for the opening of Bids. Bids must be submitted on forms provided in the Bidding Documents. Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the Iberia Parish Government, in an amount of at least five percent of the Bidders maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond in accordance with LA R.S. 38:2218. This check or Bid Bond shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder will execute the Agreement, should it be awarded to him. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids for just cause. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
