SCOPE OF WORK: The Ascension Parish Facilities Department is soliciting quotes to establish labor rates, material and equipment mark-ups for a one-year master services contract to do maintenance and repairs as directed by designated parish personnel. _ The scope of services will be detailed in the task order assigned to the contractor, buildings and parish facilities requiring assistance in repair. _ The selected contractor shall supply all parts, equipment and materials required authorized by the designated personnel for the work as per the contract rates. _ A dollar volume of business is not implied or guaranteed since the contractor will be requested to handle the overflow work of APG. _ The hourly labor rate shall include one mechanic, truck and tools. _ APG shall pay only for actual hours worked at the jobsite for the number of contract personnel authorized for the work. _ Minimum charges or call out charges shall not be paid. _ Travel expenses shall not be paid. _ Overtime hourly rate shall be paid only for those hours authorized by APG to be worked before or after normal business hours. Overtime rate shall not exceed 1.5 times the regular hourly rate. _ Maximum acceptable response time is (1) hour. _ Contractor's mechanic must be available for 24-hour call out. For each contract in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars per project, the public entity shall require of the contractor a bond with good, solvent, and sufficient surety in a sum of not less than fifty percent of the contract price for the payment by the contractor or subcontractor to claimants as defined in R.S. 38:2242. Ascension Parish Government requires a one-hundred percent performance bond for all public works contracts. Public Works projects over $50,000.00 require the use of state licensed contractors and subcontractors.
