Contractors shall be required to pay prevailing wages on this contract in accordance with Section 4115.03 4115.06 of the Ohio Revised Code. Each bid must contain the full name of every person, persons, or company interested in same and be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Fairview Park, or a certified check or cashier's check or letter of credit on a solvent bank in Cuyahoga County, made payable to the City of Fairview Park in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as prescribed in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54. The City of Fairview Park reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all proposals or to award a contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the City of Fairview Park, Ohio. The work contemplated under this contract on WEST 223 RD STREET consists of: o The removal or abandonment of the existing 8" water main and replacement with a proposed 8" water main. Generally, the water main work to be performed includes the removal or abandonment of existing water main, installation of new water main, removal and replacement of water service connections, removal and replacement of hydrants, trench repairs and restoration of any areas disturbed by construction activities. o Pavement planing, single chip seal, full depth pavement replacements, drive apron, sidewalk, curb replacements, asphalt concrete surface and intermediate courses, and pavement markings. The work contemplated shall also include the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, materials and supplies for such other work as is herein described and in accordance with any contract drawing If any person who contemplates the submission of a proposal is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications or other proposed contract documents, he may submit to the Engineer, at least eight (8) days prior to the date set for the receiving of proposals, a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its delivery.
