Renovation of a fire / police facility in Bel Air, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
This project involves the structural repair and reconstruction of the west entrance wall at MSP Barrack D in Bel Air, MD. Work includes the removal of masonry above three steel arched lintels to assess corrosion and determine the need for lintel replacement or rehabilitation. Following assessment, the masonry wall will be rebuilt using matching materials, and new flashing and water resistive barriers will be installed. Damaged precast elements, including the MSP emblem, signage, and parapet capstones, will be replaced. An architect will provide design input for waterproofing and detailing. Final inspections by a structural engineer will ensure the integrity and safety of all repairs. The work shall be completed within 120 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $350.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions."
