Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Velarde, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD or The District) is soliciting bids for the construction of up to four (4) ADA-compliant bus stops at several designated locations along NM-68 between the Villages of Velarde and Alcalde, New Mexico. The successful Bidder shall construct concrete pads in accordance with the terms and conditions of an awarded written agreement. The project may include, but is not limited to, the construction of bus stop infrastructure such as concrete pad work, sidewalk transition work, asphalt paving, curb and gutter installation; ADA ramps and bus stop area backfill; grading, excavation work, demolition of sidewalks and/or old shelter pads; site preparation; traffic and safety controls; and associated site improvements, landscaping, irrigation repairs, etc. All equipment, materials and installation work shall comply with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations. All Bidders submitting Bids valued over sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00) shall be on the NMDOT prequalified contractor list and registered with the Department of Workforce Solutions (DWS), Labor Relations before Bidding. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing to Tim Mildren, timm@ncrtd.org, with copies to Bryce Gibson, bryceg@ncrtd.org, and Stephen Lujan, stephen.lujan@wilsonco.com email by Thursday, July 10, 2025. NCRTD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid. The Contractor shall perform all the work required by the Contract Documents for the North Central Regional Transit project submitted as the response to the District's Invitation For Bids ("IFB") 2025- 01. The Contract will be based on time and materials installed. The basis of values will come from the bid form and construction plans. The work consists of, but is not limited to: A. Construction of up to 4 ADA compliant bus stops including bus shelter pads consistent with the construction plans. Contractor is responsible for all the required site preparation at each designated site to include excavation, leveling, drainage and forming to the existing curb and gutter or sidewalk. Bus shelter concrete pads that shall be constructed with 3,000 psi. concrete and concrete pad thickness shall not be less than four inches (4") and up to six inches (6") thick. Concrete pad dimensions may vary based on the proposed shelter. The contractor shall install the assembled shelters, bus stop signposts and signs, ADA stenciling and trash receptacles after the bus shelter pads are complete. All bus shelters and surrounding areas must be left clean and no trash, debris and or machinery left unattended after the completion of each bus shelter. B. At the District's sole discretion, the Contractor shall perform such additional work as is required to construct the "add alternates" described in IFB 2025-1. The work may include grading, excavation work, demolition of sidewalks and/or old shelter pads, site preparation, installation of new sidewalks, installation of concrete shelter pads, installation of small retaining walls, landscaping, irrigation repairs, paving, parking lot striping and directional painting. C. Contractor shall be responsible for all permits, fees, and State inspections associated with the construction including all necessary permits or licenses to comply with all Federal, State, County or Municipal, Tribal laws, ordinance or regulations. The Contractor is also responsible for all traffic control personnel, equipment or permits
