Site work and paving for a civil project in Chuckey, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
All questions concerning the project must be received by 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 and all responses or addendums will be given to bidders by Monday, July 7th, 2025 at 2:00 pm. The portion of Bill Mauk Rod to be constructed is approximately 1,200 feet long with a 50 foot Right of Way. The new section of road is to be centered in the Right of Way with 20 feet of asphalt and at least 2 feet of shoulder on each side with a turn around located near Cassi Creek so, Sammy & Tammy Fellers (Tax Map 100E C Parcel 012.00) can access their property. The turn around must be built within 50 foot Right of Way. **The turn-around required on the Cassi Creek end of the project shall be Bull Head Type or similar. _ Damage #1525939, (Section 1)-Bill Mauk Road o Culvert Damage: Demolition and Removal _ Culvert, 1 each of Cast-in-place 3-cell Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert, 54.8 FT long x 28.9 FT wide x 10 FT high, Destroyed due to floodwaters, exacerbating erosion and road instability., 0% work completed. _ Guardrail: GPS Start (36.157117, -82.592244) End (36.156956, 82.592086), 2 each of Metal W-beam Guardrail, 75 FT long, High velocity flood water damaged roadway and washed away culvert and sections of the road. Culvert dimensions are in agreement with data from the National Bridge Inventory and Appraisal Report for Bridge ID 900B0920001. ***NOTE: The asphalt surface and guardrail portion of this bid may be delayed or eliminated at a later date pending Riverbank Stabilization by NRCS. It is included on the bid sheet as an alternate bid. 1. Grading, Drainage, Paving and Demolition/Removal of Box Culvert on Bill Mauk Road for Washington County Highway Dept. This Project is funded under an agreement with FEMA/TEMA The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. It is the intent of this IFB to solicit bids for a qualified bidder to provide services for the grading, drainage, paving of approximately 1,200 feet on Bill Mauk Road that was damaged in the September 2024 storm.
