Renovation of a municipal facility in Weaverville, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

General: This contract is under the jurisdiction of CHP who wil execute the contract documents, coordinate with Contractor as necessary, and conduct inspections to ensure that the work is performed in strict accordance with the specifications. No deviations from the Scope of Work wil be permitted without concurrence and prior authorization from the CHP Facilities Coordinator or designee. Contractor shal furnish al transportation, labor, materials, insurance, and equipment as needed to complete the removal and instalation of flooring material. 6. Materials: A. Contractor shal furnish al transportation, labor, materials, services, training, insurance, and equipment as needed to complete the removal and replacement of floor covering and instalation of commercial flooring intended for long term medium to heavy indoor usage, Steady Stride Woodgrains LVT or equivalent. B. Proof of certification in submittals and upon delivery of material. C. Al work to be done in accordance with the manufacturers recommended procedures. 7. Flooring Removal: A. Remove al existing furniture in preparation for the flooring replacement. B. Prepare worksite to prevent any damages to existing wals, ceiling, floor, other equipment, etc. Contractor at no expense to the CHP, shal repair al damages caused by the contractor, contractor's subs and/or vendors. C. Remove al current vinyl tiles and carpeting. D. Ensure that al flooring materials are properly removed and disposed of. E. Ensure al cracks and gaps are filed, sanded, and leveled for application of vinyl tile using a Portland based leveling compound. 8. Contractor to comply with the folowing: A. Supply and deliver boxes, carts and labels at least one (1) week prior to start of the project. B. Provide 10 computer carts. C. Each phase to be conducted during non-business hours. D. Relocate furniture and related boxes to an area designated by CHP. Exception: CHP to relocate al computers and raise modular furniture for carpet removal and flooring instalation. E. Return furniture and related boxes to the work area as designated by the CHP Facilities Coordinator. F. Contractor to provide waste bin for flooring disposal and remove from site at end of project. G. Al work shal be completed within thirty (30) days once the starting date has been established. 9. California Highway Patrol: A. Provide a staging area for the storage of relocated equipment, furniture and boxes. B. Provide an area for onsite storage of the waste bin. C. Disconnect and relocate al computers and related equipment. D. Pack and prepare for relocation of CHP employee's personal items. E. Disconnect and prepare al movable computer equipment for relocation. 10. MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS A. Requests for approval of substitutions shal be subject to the discretion of the CHP Facilities Coordinator. B. Al vinyl flooring material shal be Steady Stride Woodgrains LVT or equivalent. Requests for approval of substitutions shal be subject to the discretion of the CHP Facilities Coordinator. C. Manufacturers of vinyl flooring shal have been producing a standard product line for a minimum of three (3) years to be considered for state use. The flooring shal be available from the manufacturer's normal distribution outlets within the state. D. Provide 5% unopened cartons per type of flooring instaled to state for future repairs and remodeling. E. Flooring to be replaced on the main floor, CHP side only, and lower floor wil be the Auto Tech office and Armory. FLOORING REPLACEMENT FOR CHP TRINITY RIVER AREA OFFICE California Law Requires Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation. All bidders for this solicitation, must meet the minimum DVBE participation requirement of 5%. Bidders are eligible to receive a DVBE incentive for their participation. For more information regarding this option, see section M of the IFB entitled "Preference and Incentive Programs Questions Due June 23, 2025 @ 10:00 a.m. Bidders shall submit questions via email to Ms. Tessa Gomez at tegomez@chp.ca.gov. The term of the resulting agreement is anticipated to be effective from September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026.
