**As of September 15th, 2025, the project was awarded to West Coast Air Conditioning Company, Inc but the awarded amount is not available.** Moreno Valley Unified School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as "District", will receive proposals for the award of a Contract for the following: Lease-Leaseback Preconstruction and Construction Services for Box Springs Elementary School and Sugar Hill Elementary School Modernizations The deadline for requests for clarification is July 22, 2025 @ 4:00 p.m. All Requests for Clarification must be sent to Jacob Romero at jromero@mvusd.net, Leila Jones at lbrown2@mvusd.net, and contracts@mvusd.net Any Contractor bidding on the Project who fails to attend at least a portion of the mandatory job walk and conference will be deemed a nonresponsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened. Each bidder shall be a licensed B contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active license as required at the time of award and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's Proposal. Lease-Leaseback Contractor and Subcontractor Prequalification All Firms submitting a proposal to this RFP must be prequalified with the District pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6 (b)-(m) without exception prior to submitting a proposal. Any Firm that submits a proposal and is not prequalified will be deemed non-responsive and that Firm's Proposal will be rejected and returned to the Firm unopened All mechanical, electrical or plumbing ("MEP") subcontractors (defined as contractors that hold a C-4,C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 license) must also be prequalified. This prequalification requirement applies even if the subcontractor will perform, or is designated and identified to perform, work that does not require one of the licenses listed above, but the subcontractor holds one of the licenses listed above. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process and to be sole judge as to the merit, quality and acceptability of materials proposed. No bidder may withdraw any proposal for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days after the date set for the opening of proposals.
