This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by Wilfrid Laurier University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Request for Proposals for WLU Athletic Complex- Swimming Pool Condition Assessment Design Consultancy Services, as further described in Section D of the RFP (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) is seeking proposals from qualified proponents to perform a comprehensive assessment of the swimming pool facility at the Athletic Complex Building and its associated systems and facilities , including structural, mechanical, electrical, finishes, special systems, and controls. The objective of this assessment is to evaluate the current condition of the facility and identify any potential upgrades, performance issues, and regulatory compliance with standards set by the City of Waterloo, the Province of Ontario, and Canadian standards regulations, as well as the relevant authorities having jurisdiction. This evaluation should include a cost estimate of the upgrades and repairs along with recommended construction phasing that aligns with WLU's funding capabilities. The assessment should prioritize recommendations for corrective actions, repairs, upgrades, and replacements. This includes, but is not limited to, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, Olympic swimming pool facilities special systems, automation and control (BAS), along with any related sub-services. The successful proponent will collaborate with WLU stakeholders to understand the specific requirements that need to be incorporated into the assessment. This is a 2-year contract with an option in favor of the University to extend for up to one additional 1-year term for a maximum of 3 years.
