The Pueblo of Santa Ana (Santa Ana or "the Pueblo") is a federally recognized Tribe located in NorthCentral New Mexico. Santa Ana is developing a tribal community solar project which will export power to Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) in exchange for Solar Bill Credits (SBC)s. The SBC's generated through this project will be used to reduce PNM electric bills for the Pueblo and its residents. The solar PV system will be approximately 5.4 MW AC and 5.8 MW DC. This RFP asks for a proposal to be developed for a 5.8 MW DC system with structured additional alternatives to increase the DC system size if supplemental funding is available. The Tamaya Community Solar Project is part of a broader effort by the Pueblo to reduce its environmental footprint and decrease energy costs for Tribal Members. The Pueblo has already installed facility scale solar systems which have helped the Pueblo reduce its environmental footprint, reduce energy costs and provide job training to Tribal Members. This project will be Santa Ana's first step into larger community scale renewable energy systems which can provide benefits to Tribal Members and enterprises located throughout PNM's service territory. Santa Ana has dedicated a significant amount of effort to planning and funding this project. The Pueblo is pleased to present you with an opportunity to participate in this Tribal energy initiative.
