Report 25.001 All questions regarding the Project shall be directed to Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, rfp@madsewer.org. Description: The Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing station piping, valves and underground piping, supply and installation of new station piping, valves, underground piping, and helical pile supports, station bypass pumping utilizing a hot tap, line stop, and temporary force main connecting to the existing force main 36 inch PCCP force main, traffic control, and restoration. Additional Description: All prospective Bidders must be qualified for this specific Work. Before Proposals will be accepted for the work contemplated herein, OWNER will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the prospective prime Bidders and designated subcontractors to perform the size and type of work specified in the Contract Documents. All prospective Bidders must submit qualifications for review and approval by the District. Subcontractors are also required to submit qualifications. Prequalification applications will be distributed with the Contract Documents or can be obtained from the District. Bidders who have already submitted prequalification documentation to the District within the current calendar year need not resubmit but must notify the District in writing by the prequalification due date (using the form provided) of their intent to prequalify for this specific work. Bidders will be notified only of disqualification no later than Thursday, July 31, 2025. Bids received from Bidders without prequalification documents on file with the District will not be opened. Bids will not be accepted from contractors that have been debarred or suspended by the Federal government (listed on the federal "Excluded Parties List"). Bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the Bid amount shall accompany each Bid in Accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or to waive any technicality and accept any Proposal that may, in its opinion, be advantageous to the District.
