The work shall consist of the following: Sanitary sewerage system rehab including, but not limited to, replacing clay sewer mains with approximately 2,950-LF of 8 HDPE sewer mains using the pipe burst method. The project will also consist of sewer lateral replacement and manhole rehab. Water system improvements including, but not limited to, 39 water laterals, 4-6 fire hydrant assembly, 565 LF of 2 PE water line, and 2 blow off fire hydrant. The project will also consist of road and curb repair. Time allotted for completion of work is 120 calendar days. Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as utility contracting in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of GA as a Utility Contractor. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashiers check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Funding is to be provided by CDBG which is administered by DCA. Funding also provided by the City of Sylvania. All bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity females & minorities & will apply the timetables & goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4.
